The Shine Project are hosting their first Health and Wellbeing Event for teenage girls on 12th June this year.
Our mission for 2017 is to reach as many girls as possible with the message of their inherent value and enable them with the tools to improve their physical and mental wellbeing.
To help us achieve this goal we are delighted to announce that in partnership with BHLive we will be running a health and wellbeing event on 12th June 2017 at Bournemouth Pavilion.
The Wellbeing event is designed for girls that have not attended Shine in the past and are currently in years 7, 8 or 9.
Schools are offered a two-hour time slot either in the morning or afternoon. During this time the girls will be given the opportunity to attend a variety of workshops, including dance classes, mindfulness sessions, creative arts and more. Professionals from a variety of different organisations will run the workshops.
There will be stands from all the different charities and businesses that help to promote physical and mental wellbeing, signposting the girls to the many different fabulous organisations available to them. We will also have a reflective space, where the girls can take some time to receive a hand massage, partake in mindfulness colouring or just chill out on some beanbags. Girls will be provided with a goody bag on arrival which they can use to collect information as they tour the exhibition. All our exhibitors will have activities at their stations to engage the girls with their service.
